The Nikon 35mm 1.8 DX is created to use with any one of Nikon DX cameras like D40 or D60. Appropriate for reduced light photography, the Nikon f 1.8 G AF-S DX lens comes with autofocus feature. The lens has been manufactured for cameras utilizing DX format. DX can be a standard Nikon format which uses a smaller image sensor of 24x16mm as compared to a 35mm film.
• This zoom lens is fast and lightweight. It can be suggested to be used in poor light and wildlife photography.
• Being a regular zoom lens, the Nikon 35mm 1.8 DX has a incredibly lower depth of field. Consequently it creates a blurred background image. A wide angle zoom lens is suggested for users who want a higher depth of field.

• It is equipped with a 52mm filter also. The manufacturer “Nikon” supplies a number of accessories using the lens which includes a hood, front and rear lens caps and a soft case.
This was a quick Nikon 35mm 1.8 review covering all of its simple features and specs. Priced at about 200$, this lens proves to be a reduced cost, quick and function packed zoom lens. The zoom lens is, however, almost useless when mounted on any FX format camera for filming purposes.

Frequently Asked Questions...
I need Nikon P80 Additional Lens Help?
I have a Nikon P80 and bought the "pro" kit with it. There is a 52mm (2X) lens and adapter and there are also macro lens. Can anyone help me figure out how to use these? I have tried but when I use them the pics are WORSE. Please help me if you can.
Answer:
If you searched through previous questions here on YA, you would come across the same piece of advice from several people..... over and over again.
Your 2x "lens" isn't really a lens, at least not in the sense of a decent piece of glass for an (D)SLR camera.
It is an adapter thingy, a toy, and they are all of rather low quality.
As you say, it actually makes things look worse, which is the reason why the advice always is to stay away from them, they are simply too disappointing for anybody who cares about quality.
It sounds like have discerning tastes and you noticed the difference. I'm sad to hear you're disappointed, but there is nothing you can do.
Perhaps you should use the gear you have to learn as much about photography as you can, then someday upgrade to a DSLR with GOOD lenses - at least you'll be very ready for the move by then.
