Canon 60D The Best Digital SLR Camera by Canon
New Canon EOS 60D, Designed exclusively for Canon and in line with the DIGIC processor, Canon's CMOS technology integrates advanced circuitry to reduce noise at each pixel site, providing virtual noise images. In comparison with CCD technology, lower power consumption Canon's CMOS sensors also help achieve a longer life of the battery.
The conversion of signals from Canon's CMOS sensors is run by individual amplifiers at each of the sites of each pixel. Thus, transfer operations are avoided unnecessary burdens, which greatly accelerates the process of bringing the signal to the image processor. It also reduces noise generation, limiting the consumption of energy and increasing the chances of getting a frame rate per second faster.
Canon EOS 60D uses the same sensor as the EOS Rebel T2i progress, combined with advanced optical low pass filter of the EOS 7D, producing excellent results with both high and low sensitivities, which are reflected in images of excellent quality, even in low light. The sensor has a reading in four channels that allow rapid transfer of data DIGIC 4 image processor, which enables continuous shooting at high speed, up to 5.3 fps to 18 megapixels of resolution.
DIGIC
The image data captured by the CMOS sensor is processed by the DIGIC Image Processor Canon's built specifically for the cameras of the firm, before they are recorded on a memory card. DIGIC technology uses algorithms advanced image processing to ensure a color - and a natural-tonal gradation and precise, accurate white balance and advanced noise reduction. Basic
Basic is a new role of creative image making it even easier to create the effects desired image, when photographing the scene. With Basic, photographers have the option of selecting pictures of the environment, lighting and the type of scene:
Shooting by selection of the environment: exposure compensation and white balance are set based on preset styles to create a specific tone and image.
Shooting through the selection of the lighting or the type of scene: it is a simplified form of the white balance for beginners to digital photography changing the white balance adjustments according to simple terms such as "Daylight "Shadows", "Cloudy", "Sunset", "Tungsten light" and "Fluorescent".
EOS Video
EOS Video function allows photographers to use the EOS 60D can shoot movies in high definition (HD) 1080p with manual control and several recording speeds selectable by the user.
Thanks to the large integrated CMOS sensor (22.3 x 14.9 mm), depth of field can be managed more efficiently. The video presentation can be controlled in Manual mode, allowing full control of shutter speeds and apertures. Variable-angle LCD
The EOS 60D has a variable angle LCD screen of 7.7 cm (3.0 inch), 3:2 format with a resolution of 720 x 480 pixels, which equals 1,040,000 pixels. The screen brightness can be adjusted to one of seven levels available, enabling the vision of high quality images allowing verification of the approach in a super-fast while playing. The LCD screen can be moved 175 ? up / down and rotate 270 ? to allow a perfect composition from almost any angle.
Measurement System Measurement sensor iFCL double layer in 63 areas
IFCL system uses information about the focus, color and luminance to provide properly exposed subject. All focus points providing information on the distance to the measurement system to determine the proximity of the subject and allow the algorithm for balancing the exposure according to the data.
The EOS 60D has a sensor for measuring brand new 63-zone, consistent with the 9-point AF. Typically, the measuring sensors are more sensitive to the subject cells, which can lead to overexposure. The EOS 60D combat this with the double-layer sensor, which has a layer sensitive to red light and green, and one that is sensitive to blue and green light. The measurement algorithm then compares the level of the two layers and adjust the photometer measurements accordingly.
Processing in the camera
The powerful DIGIC 4 processor that is inside the EOS 60D allows photographers to capture high resolution pictures and RAW formats, RAW processing through into the chamber, adjust the images before saving a copy of them as a JPEG file, ready to print or to share with family and friends.
Photographers can also apply a series of creative filter effects to your images in RAW or JPEG camera. The black and white filters Grain, Soft Focus, Impact and Effect Toy Camera Thumbnail can be applied individually or stacked to achieve a more creative and unique results.
In the camera can change the size of large JPEG images, while maintaining the same image format, but in a smaller version that can be stored separately. JPEG images larger (M) can be reduced to one of the three smaller sizes (P1, P2 and P3).

EOS Integrated Cleaning System The EOS Integrated Cleaning System combats sensor dust in three important ways: reducing, removing and repelling:
Reduction: are designed around the camera's internal mechanisms to minimize dust generation. The redesigned body cap prevents dust generation due to wear of the cover itself.
Repulsion: static technologies are applied, including a special fluorine coating on low pass filter covering the front of the sensor, so as not to attract dust.
Elimination: A Self-Cleaning Sensor Unit applies high frequency vibrations, for about one second, to dislodge dust from the infrared filter is activated whenever the camera. In cases where fire is needed after turning on the camera, this feature is disabled immediately upon pressing the trigger.
Canon has also developed a system Dust Delete Data, which allows locating the position of visible dust on the sensor. Then you can remove dust spots automatically after the shot, using the latest Digital Photo Professional software.
Picture Style
Picture Style presets simplify the control of the camera in image quality. Picture Style presets are similar to different types of film that were used before, each offering a different color response. Within each selectable preset, photographers have control over sharpness, contrast, hue and color saturation. The factory presets are programmed the camera so that the camera provides JPEG images immediately usable without any additional manual adjustment. Picture Style presets applied to a RAW image can be checked with the software Canon Digital Photo Professional.
The six presets include:
Standard: to capture crisp images and vivid colors that do not require any post-processing work.
Portrait: optimizes the tone and color saturation, sharpness to soften skin tones attractive.
Landscapes: blue and green to get more impact with superior clarity so that the edges of mountains, trees and buildings go very sharp.
Neutral: ideal for post-processing.
Faithful: adjusts color to match the color of the subject when shooting with a color temperature of 5,200 K.
Monochrome: to photograph in black and white, with a series of filter effects (yellow, orange, red and green) and toning effects (sepia, blue, purple and green).
Digital Photo Professional Software
Digital Photo Professional (DPP) allows processing of high quality, high speed and lossless RAW images. The processing of images with Digital Photo Professional allows real-time display and immediate application of image adjustments, giving control over RAW image variables such as white balance, dynamic range, exposure compensation exposure, noise reduction and tone colors as well as the ability to view Auto Focus points on an image. The tool correction lens aberration allows precise correction of different types of distortion caused by certain cameras. The images can be recorded on the camera color space sRGB or Adobe RGB.
The images can also be rotated and cut, allowing photographers to fix the frame and the horizon lines as part of RAW processing. Digital Photo Professional software is also fully compatible with the rating system included in Canon EOS 60D which lets you assign stars or edit for easier selection.
Digital Photo Professional supports sRGB color space, Adobe RGB, ColorMatch RGB, Apple RGB and Wide Gamut RGB. The profiles of the ICC (International Colour Consortium) can be attached to TIFF or JPEG images when they are converted from a RAW file. This allows faithful reproduction of colors in the software applications that support ICC profiles, such as Adobe Photoshop. For better efficiency, can save a set of picture adjustments, like a recipe, and apply.
EOS Utility The latest version of EOS Utility provides essential support for remote shooting with live view Live View, to configure the camera and image transfer. Fully integrated with Digital Photo Professional, EOS Utility can be configured to control the folders 'active' to automatically rename and move the incoming images to a structured file system. Users can also mark your images with EXIF data, including information on copyright.
Picture Style Editor Picture Style Editor software allows photographers to create individual Picture Styles that meet the individual requirements of each. Each Picture Style contains detailed information on specific colors will be represented in a particular image.
